PROCESS

My knives are made by both stock removal and forging methods using the highest quality materials. They are hand ground and are hand sanded to as high as 2500 grit wet and dry paper.

My blades are heat treated to 58-60 rc. I use a variety of exotic hardwoods, bone, horn and antler for handle materials. My personal favourite is Curly Maple, stained, and finished with hand rubbed double boiled linseed oil .

I make all of my own knife cases using the best 8-9 oz. Vegetable tanned leather shoulders available. All cases have a welt to protect stitching and are wet molded to the knife for which it was made. Embellishments such as hand tooling or snake skin inlays are also available.

I have just completed a 42 ton forge welding press & a 4 Burner gas forge and am in the process of building a 75 lb. Air hammer to be completed sometime this summer.
